What We Do

Thorocoat and elastomeric coatings are heavy-bodied acrylic systems that bridge hairline cracks and give above-grade masonry a durable, uniform, waterproof finish. Thoroseal is the cementitious side of the family — it bonds into concrete and block to resist hydrostatic pressure below grade. Choosing correctly between them is most of the job.

These systems fail for two reasons, and neither is the product: wrong system for the exposure, or inadequate surface preparation. An elastomeric topcoat over a wall under hydrostatic pressure will blister off; a cementitious slurry on a moving crack will telegraph it straight through. We specify by condition — Thoroseal and crystalline slurries for below-grade concrete and block, Thorocoat and elastomeric membranes for above-grade masonry and stucco that needs crack-bridging and a finished appearance. Then we do the prep properly: clean, repair, profile, and prime, because a coating is only as good as what it is stuck to.

  • Thorocoat heavy-bodied acrylic coating — above-grade masonry & stucco
  • Thoroseal cementitious coating for concrete & block below grade
  • Elastomeric membrane systems with hairline crack-bridging
  • Crystalline & cementitious slurries for hydrostatic resistance
  • Concrete, CMU block, stucco, parapet & retaining wall application
  • Color-matched finish coats — waterproofing that looks intentional

How It Works

Our Step-by-Step Process

Clear and stress-free from first call to final sign-off.

1

Substrate & Exposure Review

We test the surface, identify the exposure — above grade, below grade, hydrostatic — and specify the correct system rather than defaulting to one product.

2

Surface Preparation

Power washing, laitance removal, patching, and profiling. Coatings and slurries bond to sound, clean, correctly profiled substrate and nothing else.

3

Crack & Joint Treatment

Static cracks are routed and filled, moving joints get backer rod and sealant, and detail coats are applied at corners and terminations before any field coat.

4

System Application

Coats are applied at the specified wet-film thickness with documented coverage rates, so the warranty is real and the finish is uniform.
